The campaign will ultimately culminate in an exhibition to be held at the end of October and early November respectively. The public can then submit their personal stories, or pay homage to people who have impacted them significantly on the website www.the-best-of-you.com. Participants can choose the manner or form of their submission, which can include personal testimonials, poems, quotes, short-films, and even musical compositions. Physical items such as photographs, mementos, sculptures, jewelry and any other paraphernalia that best captures the essence of their submission are also accepted. The social movement also invites people to look out for inspiring examples of everyday deeds and actions that encapsulates The Best of You ideal, and upload these photos on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #TheBestofYou.“This year we celebrate the International Year of the Family and we hope that the stories will inspire families to show gratitude and appreciation in their unique ways”, Brian Liu, council member, Families for Life, Singapore – a family movement that promotes strong and resilient families said. The International Year of the Family (IYF), which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, is supported by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). There will be a slew of family-oriented activities and programmes held throughout the year to encourage families to strengthen their bonds and commitment to one another. The IYF has joined other like-minded partners such as MINDS Lee Kong Chian Gardens School (LGS), and the Yellow Ribbon Project Singapore (YRP).
