JKR Singapore MD Intan Mokhnar steps down

Intan Mokhnar has left her role as MD at design-led creative agency Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR) Singapore after close to two years. She joined the agency in 2018 and was tasked to spearhead its collaborations and growth in the Asia region.

In a statement to Marketing, CEO Guy Lambert said the Singapore office is now run by Katie Ewer as strategic lead, Alex Boulware as creative lead, and Anjali Vasudevan as client lead. He said that JKR recently redefined its Singapore offering to reflect the needs of the market.

“Having opened six years ago as a design agency specialising in FMCG brands, we have reshaped the business into a strategic brand consultancy to better reflect the needs of our clients,” he added.

Marketing has reached out to Mokhnar for comment on her next move.

Before joining JKR Singapore, Mokhnar was MD of BBDO Proximity Indonesia from 2014 to 2017. In that role, Mokhnar was responsible for implementing global network strategies and performance KPIs, and delivering agency growth through aggressive new business strategies, according to her LinkedIn.

She was with the BBDO network for 15 years, beginning her career as an account director with BBDO Malaysia. She later moved to BBDO Singapore in 2006 and rose through the ranks to GM in 2010. In Singapore, she oversaw client relationships and agency profitability, and led the account for Blackberry regionally and Singtel locally.

According to her LinkedIn, she has over 18 years of experience running global brands and regional agencies. Mokhnar explained that her leadership approach has been honed to drive growth via people over process. She also believes that diversity in high performing talent and thinking in Asia’s multifaceted challenges is business critical.

“My priority as a leader is to cultivate, stimulate, encourage through healthy candour to move the creative dial. I prioritise the healthy balance of being results-orientated with empathy to deliver business objectives through effective and efficient management,” she added on LinkedIn.
