JCDecaux Singapore expands ad network to 2 new cineplexes

JCDecaux Singapore has expanded its cinema advertising network with the addition of two new cineplexes. Advertisers will be able to reach out to more cinema audiences with the opening of Shaw Theatres in Jewel Changi Airport in the first half of 2019 and in Paya Lebar Quarter.Brands looking to advertise in cinemas will be able to select from 21 cineplexes islandwide, an increase from the previous range of 19 cineplexes. The opening of two new cineplexes will also raise the number of halls from the current 151 to over 170 halls. Jewel, the first of the new cineplexes to open, is expected to be able to accommodate over 800 seats.With this expansion in coverage, JCDecaux will own nearly 70% of the cinema advertising market share based on the number of cineplexes, up from the previous 60%, reinforcing its position as the largest cinema advertising network in Singapore, according to the company.JCDecaux has been the exclusive media partner of Shaw Theatres since 2015, and continues to manage both on-screen and off-screen media spaces for Cathay, Filmgarde and WE Cinemas. JCDecaux Singapore is the only subsidiary in the JCDecaux group worldwide to manage on-screen advertising in cinemas.“JCDecaux is delighted to strengthen our relationship with Shaw Theatres as their exclusive media partner.
