iROO picks PR Communications

Taiwanese fashion label iROO has appointed PR Communications, to boost its media awareness in Singapore. PR Communications will be tasked to handle all media relations programmes for iROO, including the opening of new boutiques in Singapore.The agency has been appointed for a period of 14 months until December 2014.iROO’s advertising is developed by its head office in Taiwan. Hence apart from public relations, the agency will also develop new media strategy, and recommend media for both traditional media and new media buy.“This is because iROO wants to create better synergy between PR and advertising. At this point nothing is confirmed as this is still at the planning stage. The brand has devoted much effort to going international and has just opened its first flagship store in Jakarta last month,” a spokesperson from the agency said.“Singapore is fast becoming a fashion-conscious city and represents a key market for iROO. As Singapore grows to become an important fashion hub for Southeast Asia, we see our presence here as a spring board to bringing affordable, quality fashion to other markets within the region,” Grace Ong, Chief Operation Officer for iROO International said.Launched in 1999, iROO now has over 80 stores established in Taiwan, China, and the Southeast Asian region. It currently operates four boutiques in Singapore, including the new iROO flagship store at Ngee Ann City. The brand’s current ambassador and spokesperson is Taiwanese talkshow host and singer Xiao S.PR Communications' other clients include Samsonite, Soo Kee Jewellery, La Putri, and Thomas Sabo.
