Iris, the global multi-specialist creative network, has promoted Jill Smith from business director to managing director of Iris Shanghai, following a string of new business wins. Smith has been responsible for building Iris Shanghai’s unique offering over the past year, creating a strong digitally savvy team and a growing portfolio of multinational and domestic clients. In her previous role as business director, Smith was responsible for opportunity assessment and client portfolio development of the Shanghai office. Prior to her roles in Shanghai, Smith held the role of client service head for Iris New York, leading the charge for clients such as Diageo, Reckitt Benckiser, Philips, Saks, COTY, CR7 and Otis. While in New York, Jill was a member of executive board, where she was responsible for agency growth and advancing capabilities for the market place. Jill joined Iris with 10 years of experience in the industry, having previously worked with start-ups, art agencies and some of the world’s best-known brands.
