International Enterprise Singapore has appointed UM for strategic planning, negotiations and buying of key advertising spaces in the country as well as in relevant overseas markets.
IE Singapore is the government agency tasked with driving Singapore’s external economy through spearheading the overseas growth of Singapore-based companies and promoting international trade.
The appointment of the agency is for the period of two years beginning May 2014. Marketing understands that the incumbent was Dentsu who was also involved in the pitch. Vying for the account was also Zenith Optimedia. The tender amount was 675,000 per year.
Pat Lim, managing director of UM Singapore said the government organisation has been instrumental in making Singapore a thriving trading hub and focuses on growing globally competitive companies.
