Infiniti claims first social unveiling for Q50

Leading up to its 13 January premiere at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Infiniti Motor Company is asking fans worldwide to preview the new model using social media.A specially created website unveil.infiniti.com allows fans and online advocates to reveal the car by sharing their views and comments through social media channels like Twitter (hashtag #F1Q50), Facebook and Weibo.Each ‘share’ will help build individual Q50 components to create a detailed 3D model in a virtual garage and as more fans share, the quicker the car will be built.Anyone can join in and watch the progress of the build at unveil.infiniti.com, which was created using HTML5 and webGL, the site is accessible via mobile, tablet and desktop devices.TBWA\Digital Arts Network worked on the concept and build of the website, which as of today (6 January) needs just over 34,0oo share to be fully unveiled. https://twitter.com/InfinitiGB/status/419558916507582464More detailed information about the Q50 Eau Rouge will be revealed during a press conference at the North American International Auto Show at on 14 January. The car could be revealed in full before then via unveil.infiniti.com if enough people click-to-build the car online.
