Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that it will introduce a new Andaz Hotel to Macau in 2021.
Expected to open in the first half of 2021, the hotel Andaz Macau will be the newest part of the Galaxy Integrated Resorts precinct. Comprising over 700 rooms and suites, the hotel is connected to the Galaxy International Convention Centre and the 16,000-seat Galaxy Arena with a dedicated private lounge catering to large MICE groups.
“Today’s luxury travellers are increasingly looking for unique experiences and the opportunity to become truly immersed in a destination’s culture. We are delighted to meet this need with the addition of Andaz Macau to our Galaxy Integrated Resorts precinct,” said Francis Lui, vice-chairman of the Galaxy Entertainment Group.
Currently, the Galaxy Integrated Resorts precinct offers 11.8 million square feet of entertainment and shopping options with over 200 world-renowned luxury brands, leisure attractions, and more than 120 dining choices.
“We are honoured to launch the Andaz brand in Macau in our first collaboration with the Galaxy Entertainment Group as part of the group’s ever-expanding integrated resorts precinct in the city. Global in scale while local in perspective, the Andaz brand is on track to double its footprint in Asia Pacific with a strong pipeline across Greater China, in destinations such as Macau, Taipei, Chengdu, Sanya, Shenzhen, and Xiamen,” said David Udell, group president, Asia Pacific of Hyatt.
Branded after a Hindi word meaning ‘personal style’, Andaz hotels operate in New York, London, Shanghai, and Seoul, and are sold heavily on offering trendy authentic experiences.
