HTC appoints new CMO

Global – Local mobile phone maker HTC has appointed Benjamin Ho as chief marketing officer to take the brand into the next phase of its global marketing strategies.Joining the company in January 2013, Ho will be tasked with worldwide marketing and branding for HTC to create brand awareness.With the appointment, he will refocus the brand's efforts around holistic marketing and mass-market brand outreach and report directly to Peter Chou, CEO of HTC.Prior to joining HTC, Ho was vice president of business strategy and marketing at Far EasTone Telecommunications. He also held various senior positions including vice president and chief marketing officer at Motorola Asia Pacific, and director at BBDO Greater China, Dentsu, and Young and Rubicam International.Additionally, Jason Mackenzie, currently president of global sales and marketing, will focus on the company's global sales strategy.
