HootSuite acquires uberVU

HootSuite has acquired uberVU, a social analytics solution. HootSuite and uberVU can now combine their tools to help organisations to understand the value of their social relationships and drive more meaning from the conversations happening on social media.uberVU’s roster of more than 200 enterprise customers include 3M, NBC, Heinz, Fujitsu, SC Johnson, Getty Images, indiegogo, L’Occitane and others. This acquisition is expected to accelerate HootSuite’s analytics roadmap for HootSuite Enterprise customers.Financial terms of this deal have not been disclosed.“This acquisition brings together uberVU’s best-in-class analytics with HootSuite’s social engagement solution, getting us one step closer to our vision of a simple, scalable, and secure platform for a rapidly evolving social media landscape,” Ryan Holmes, CEO of HootSuite said.“By joining HootSuite we are realising our vision to bring analytics to the front and center of the social business,” Mark Pascarella, CEO of uberVU said.HootSuite entered the category of social media management in 2009 and has more than 8 million users in nearly every country around the world.
