Hootsuite hires SVP of global sales

Social media management platform Hootsuite has appointed Bob Elliott (pictured) as senior vice president of global sales.

Elliott will lead all aspects of Hootsuite’s global enterprise sales strategy and execution to fuel the company’s continued revenue and international growth.

“As we continue expanding our service to enterprise customers, we’re excited to add business and technology leadership that will help the company grow to the next level. Elliott’s enthusiasm and demonstrated leadership success will help us best serve our customers and drive company growth,” Ryan Holmes, CEO of Hootsuite, said.

Elliott brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in building high-performing sales teams and driving revenue growth at leading companies such as SAP, Ariba, i2, JD Edwards, and Sybase.

Elliott has extensive experience leading enterprise sales, most recently as managing director of SAP Canada, a subsidiary of SAP SE, the world leader in enterprise software and services. At SAP Canada, he led a team of five hundred people and revenue ownership of US$1 billion.

As part of Hootsuite’s plans to expand its market presence, it’s strengthening the management team with industry leaders who have proven track records of technological expertise and leadership. Recently, Hootsuite named Penny Wilson as chief marketing officer.
