Video on demand service provider HOOQ has appointedÂ Michael Dâ€™Oliveiro as the country managerÂ for Singapore. In his new role, he will be responsible for managing the market, and will focus on expansion through customer acquisition, retention, and key partnerships.
Most recently, Dâ€™OliveiroÂ worked for Telstra in Australia where he developed, launched and managed their first B2B portfolio of online video products outside of the country. He was also responsible for on-boarding and managing key partners, and held global P&L responsibilities working with customers from as far as the UK to Australia and Singapore. This also included building an extensive view of market needs and challenges, especially in the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to this, heÂ was part of the core consumer product management team at Pay-TV leader Astro in Malaysia, where he helped develop and manage its early OTT products. Post this, he eventually went on to manage both set-top box and OTT SVOD products.
