Hong Kong Disneyland Resort has gone from strength to strength since its opening in 2005.Aiming to build Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) as an ultimate event and entertainment destination - both regionally and internationally, providing exceptional event venues and service capabilities - HKDL’s dedicated events team, Business Solutions & Events (BS&E), has been providing one-stop event solutions for MICE events, sports and special events, social catering, as well as youth-targeted programs.This exceptional execution helped HKDL snap up the gold award in the Best Event Team category at this year’s Marketing Events Awards.A winning team operates like an orchestraBS&E has a total of four teams, including the Event Services Team, the Sports & Special Events Team, the Corporate Sales & Social Catering Sales Team, and the Disney Youth Programs Team, taking charge of event sales, planning, and service fulfilment.Magical works from youth to corporateThe Sports & Special Events Team has transformed the resort’s coach park into a one-of-a-kind outdoor venue. The venue has hosted HKDL’s fun run for three consecutive years, setting a new record with more than 13,000 registered participants in 2018, 25% more than 2017.The venue also hosted outdoor concerts by Taiwanese band Mayday for two years, and British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.HKDL also creates customised events packed with exclusive Disney attractions for local and overseas MICE groups ranging from large-scale Whole Park Buyouts to smaller-scale Park Buyouts of the park theatres and restaurants, or corporate meetings, and even novel team-building activities.A limited number of Whole Park Buyout opportunities offering a sneak preview of Disney Halloween Time attractions are arranged every year as exclusive corporate incentive programs.As for Youth Programs, HKDL offers different activities and out-of-classroom educational experiences for students of all levels, including Disney Grad Days, which provides students with opportunities to celebrate graduation with their families and friends.The Disney Youth Education Series enables students to learn various topics from creative storytelling and science to liberal studies and hospitality; Disney Theme Park Adventures offers students opportunities to explore theme park, while Disney Performing Arts provides a stage and let students perform at the resort to showcase their talent.Heartfelt Event ServicesThe Event Services Team handles events of any scale, ranging from MICE to weddings and other social events. The team, as de facto event planners, offers one-stop event solutions for guests. Taking the wedding segment as an example, HKDL offers full range solutions for wedding guests from photography at iconic resort locations to wedding ceremonies at lush outdoor venues and extraordinary themed banquets and one-of-its-kind Disney entertainment.After being recognised as Hong Kong’s leading event and entertainment destination, HKDL continues to scale new heights for the future, reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as the event capital in Asia.
