Homegrown brand Yeo’s hands duties to The Media Shop

Homegrown brand Yeo’s has appointed The Media Shop as its new media partner for a period of two years for the Singapore market. The agency will be tasked with rolling out integrated media duties across all media platforms for Yeo’s.

In a statement to Marketing, The Media Shop spokesperson said the agency partnered with creative agency, Bread Butter Bacon who is currently handling creative work for Yeo’s. Bread Butter Bacon was behind the conceptualisation of the #Yeosome concept while The Media Shop will aid in channeling the message across to the intended audience.

According to Yeo’s, The Media Shop was chosen for its demonstration of solid understanding of the business as well as the agency’s commitment to work closely with the Yeo’s team on brand building efforts. Yeo’s operations spans across Asia Pacific, Europe, North America and Oceanic regions.

With digital media becoming increasingly prevalent, Irene Tay, vice president of marketing, Yeo’s said its media partner needs to understand the importance of meaningful consumer engagement. According to Tay, The Media Shop impressed the Yeo’s team with innovative ways of thinking and ability to conceptualise ideas that resonate with Millennials and Gen Z, bringing to life Yeo’s brand stories.

“Looking for the right marketing and advertising agency is no easy feat. We chose to work with an independent as we needed a partner that resonates with our core values as an Asian brand,” Tay said. She also added that despite the brand’s rich heritage and high brand equity, it is pivotal for Yeo’s to break through the clutter of the overcrowded beverage industry and build meaningful connections with its consumers.

“We look forward to a collaboration with The Media Shop that will extend Yeo’s lead as the number one brand in the Asian drinks market,” Tay said.

Meanwhile, Jessica Toh, co-founder and CEO of The Media Shop said growing up in Singapore, Yeo’s had always been the go-to brand for those looking for a nice and refreshing drink.

“We are honoured to be appointed the media agency handling Yeo’s, a home-grown brand with 119 years of history and rich heritage. I’m incredibly proud of our achievement as a team, and will continue to build the Yeo’s brand through the strategic use of effective media,” she added.

Among the list of clients The Media Shop works with include One Faber Group, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Veritas Storage (Singapore), Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Liberty Insurance, and Jollibee Foods Corporation.
