Fashion house H&M has launched a new Christmas spot directed by renowned movie director Wes Anderson. The spot stars Adrien Brody in a stylish and aesthetically pleasing wonderland for fans of Anderson’s symmetrical and colourful style.
The video features Brody as a train conductor on Christmas Day, announcing to passengers on a moving train that there would be delays in the train’s arrival at its destination. The camera is pointed from the outside of the moving train and shows different passengers of different ethnicities and ages responding to the news.
Brody then proceeds to prepare for a complimentary Christmas brunch for the passengers, who gather together in one of the train’s cabin to celebrate the holiday.
Ever since its launch two days ago, the video has garnered 4,675,096 views and 70,456 likes on YouTube at the time of writing.
The video follows a slew of Christmas campaign roll outs with high cinematic value, including a recent ad by Burberry starring Domhnall Gleeson and Sienna Miller, Marks & Spencer ‘s starring veteran actress Janet McTeer as Mrs Claus and Heathrow’s adorable spot featuring toy bears.
Meanwhile in Singapore, DBS kicked off Christmas celebrations by getting singer Nathan Hartono to front its Christmas campaign.
