HK Magazine gives interactive element to F&B content

HK Magazine and restaurant booking platform Chope have struck a 12-month deal to enable subscribers of HK Magazine’s tablet edition and hk-magazine.com to make instant table bookings directly from restaurant reviews and listings that are part of the Chope network. Table bookings will empower 84 restaurants and may be made and amended via Chope’s widget 24/7, for free. In October, HK Magazine will launch its interactive tablet edition of HK Eats, HK Magazine’s annual Fall/Winter thematic-dining guide. This interactive tablet magazine will also embed Chope’s table booking widget, so readers can directly make reservations from within stories and reviews. Greg Crandall, HK Magazine publisher and general manager, said the partnership with Chope means that magazine can now link its content to interactive elements like table bookings. “F&B content lends itself perfectly to an interactive, visual environment. Our goal with the tablet edition is to create a lifestyle-enriched, transaction based, reading experience.” The September 26th edition of HK Magazine on tablet marks its 100th issue on the iTunes and Google Play store.
