Hiltz leaves Dow Jones for new publishing gig

Independent publishing company Infonation has secured Shawn Hiltz, vice president of marketing at Dow Jones, as its new CEO.Hiltz, who starts in his role today, will take responsibility for a portfolio of print and digital products including luxury title The Reserve, Yù Háo Huì, PIE+S and property magazine LOFT.Infonation, a company under Nest also runs a series of targeted events and seminars for clients.For three and a half years, Hiltz served as Dow Jones vice president of marketing, Asia-Pacific. He has also held roles with various organisations in North America, Europe and Asia, including The Walt Disney Company."Shawn is a business strategist with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for disrupting classical thinking, which is a rare and precious combination" said Simon Squibb, CEO of Nest, a shareholder of Infonation."We invest in people as much as business concepts and our shareholders have unanimously selected Shawn as the leader who will extend our proven track record of intelligence-led marketing and advance the business in new and innovative ways."Earlier this year Infonation relaunched one of its key titles Millionaireasia as The Reserve, refocusing the title around a VIP club for Hong Kong’s high net worth individuals and business professionals."I am fortunate to have been given the opportunity to lead such a dynamic and forward-thinking organization," said Hiltz."With an already-proven track record and a dedicated team of professionals, the growth potential is unlimited."
