HCK Media has launched yet another English language weekly called The Heat targeted at affluent professionals, managers, executives and the business community.
The weekly which is circulated every Friday, aims at challenging current issues with reports aimed to inspire positive change for a better Malaysia.
The content ranges from features based on current news, people profiles, opinion pieces, graphic news, recreation, health, the environment, careers, the arts and trade.
“Our primary goal is to develop full-length analytical feature stories that have a transforming effect,” said David Lee (pictured first from right), editor-in-chief of The Heat.
Lee told A+M that the newspaper targets advertisers from telecommunication, banking sectors and other brands for the young and trendy.
The Heat comes in two sections; a 48-pager with news on socio-economic issues and trends, and a 16-page pullout called Heat+, which delves into the lives of people from all walks of life.
In the roll-out phase, its circulation figure stands at 40,000 copies nationwide weekly, with 10,000 copies distributed via a retail network of distributors and vendors, and 30,000 copies distributed to its subscriber database. The title is not audited.
As part of its media expansion plans, HCK Media also launched the antdaily.com, a daily news portal which offers free content covering local politics and current affairs.
