Taxi hailing app Hailo has appointed Dublin-based advertising agency Rothco as its lead global advertising agency, ahead of major expansion plans.
Rothco will be tasked to launch Hailo’s product in Tokyo and subsequently, other markets across Asia in 2013.
The decision follows a pitch which took place late last year.
Internationally, the app will also be launched in New York, Washington DC, Madrid, and Barcelona, in 2013.
Rothco has worked with Hailo on its product launch in Dublin and London.
Hailo has more than 24,000 registered drivers, 300,000 registered passengers and has carried nearly 2.5 million passengers to date.
This is Rothco’s latest win after it bagged Tiger Beer’s global creative account, last year.
