H-Line Ogilvy secures IMAX digital PR

H-Line Ogilvy has secured the digital marketing and communications business for entertainment company IMAX Corporation with a one-year retainer contract.

H-Line Ogilvy is a joint venture formed in 2002 after Ogilvy PR acquired the China-based H-Line Public Relations.

The agency will be responsible for formulating and executing an overall digital communications strategy to promote IMAX Corporation’s core values, history, technologies and films.

The work will include planning, content creation and community management for the brand’s presence on Chinese digital platforms such as Sina Weibo, Tencent Weibo, Renren, Douban, Youku and Baidu Zone.

H-Line Ogilvy will also engage with Chinese key opinion leaders to drive online and offline promotions of IMAX’s unique experience and films.

“The team won us over with their rich findings gleaned from social media listening posts that were incredibly detailed and insightful. We’re excited to work with them to increase IMAX’s brand awareness in China,” said Jessie Chou, senior vice president of marketing and theater operations of IMAX Greater China.

H-Line Ogilvy managing director Joe Yu added that the firm has already developed a digital strategy that will translate IMAX’s dramatic cinematic experience to Chinese audiences and raise its overall visibility in China.
