Grey Group APAC beefs up GSK team

Grey Group Asia Pacific has appointed Andrew Boatman as VP for its GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) line of operations.

Based in Singapore, Boatman will be responsible for all nutrition and cold and flu brands globally, and the oral health brands across Southeast Asia. Boatman brings 15 years of industry expertise based in London working with the likes of BBDO, iris worldwide and marketing superbrand, Royal Mail.

He joins Grey Group Singapore from Octagon – a global sports and entertainment content marketing arm of the Interpublic Group of Companies. Prior to that, he led the Samsung mobile business for Cheil Worldwide, London.

According to a statement from Grey, he is known for running truly integrated pieces of business and his ability to create a culture in which innovative ideas can flourish, always drawing on his diverse background and deep understanding of broadcast, digital, shopper and experiential marketing.

“These are exciting times, and I look forward to working closely alongside the rest of the GSK team. I believe that the current push towards innovative digital solutions in the Asia Pacific region presents an amazing avenue for creativity, and I see great potential for some truly groundbreaking work in the pipeline,” said Boatman.
