Gregory Wu leaves Publicis China following Shanghai subway incident

It has been officially announced that following a highly-publicised incident on a Shanghai subway. Gregory Wu has been relieved from his post as GM for digital partnerships with Zenith.A widely circulated video on TikTok showed Wu being asked by a man and woman to delete content off of his phone as bystanders watch. The exact nature of the material Wu had allegedly recorded and was being asked to delete was not confirmed within the context of the video but unconfirmed reports from netizens stated he had invaded the couple's privacy.It's believed that the incident happened before the Mid-Autumn Festival in a subway in Shanghai. Following the online maelstrom, Publicis China has announced its decision to part ways with Wu.Asked what action Publicis China had taken regarding the situation, a spokesperson said, “At Publicis Groupe, we have a strict policy regarding employee behaviour and we do not condone behaviours that are not in line with the Chinese law. Our employees must behave with the highest level of ethics. As such, the said personnel is no longer an employee of the company.”Marketing will update if further details emerge.
