Grab Malaysia has launched the #MakanMakanMalaysia campaign ahead of Malaysia Day, demonstrating its patriotic pride by celebrating what it said truly makes the country unique - the colourful and flavourful palate of Malaysians.Kicking off the campaign is the "Explore the taste of Malaysia" video, which showcases "landscapes" of Malaysian delicacies and locals bonding at the mamak stall over a table dressed with an array of signature Malaysian cuisine. The short video concluded with a shout-out of Malaysia Day promotion on GrabFood.https://youtu.be/niXfgzGJeEQIris Chang, Grab Malaysia’s country head of marketing said the company is celebrating the occasion by uniting  all Malaysians with the theme #MakanMakanMalaysia, and making it even more convenient for them to satisfy their Malaysian appetites. "Regardless of where we are from, or where we are in Malaysia, we are all united by our uniquely Malaysian palates, because we are never lost for great food, and truly, great food knows no state boundaries," she added.Additionally, Grab Malaysia is also rallying Malaysians to support those who are less fortunate and differently-abled through "The Malaysian Juggernaut" challenge on its app. Running from 26 August to 22 September, the challenge incentivises users to make two out of three Grab transactions via the app with GrabFood discount and GrabRewards points. In return, the ride-hailing company will donate RM3.18 to the Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah (Homes for Disabled Children) for every challenge completed. The donations will go towards building a special needs playground to ensure that the children are able to play outdoors in a safe and protected manner, said the press release.Chang explained that as an everyday app that serves the daily needs of Malaysians, Grab Malaysia hopes to rally the rakyat to celebrate and support different groups of the community, especially those who require a lending hand to help improve their own welfare. “This is why we came up with a fun challenge to encourage our users to do good this Malaysia Day and to be more inclusive in our celebration," she said.Read more: Grab Malaysia hunts for new country marketing head Grab Malaysia’s Iris Chang on the imposter syndrome Grab Malaysia offers discounted rides in conjunction with GE Grab Malaysia to start offering e-money services next year Grab celebrates Ramadan with all-in-one festive pack for Malaysians
