Google has appointed Tate Anzur as its new public relations agency as of this year for the Singapore market, a move which was confirmed to Marketing by the tech giant.
The incumbent on the account was The Hoffman Agency which has been on the account since 2006. According to Hoffman’s website, it covered duties for the APAC region for Google and its Google Enterprise arm.
When asked for further information, Google and Tate Anzur declined to comment.
Just last week, Google overtook Apple as the world’s most valuable brand, knocking the latter off its perch for the first time in five years, according to the latest Brand Finance global 500 report. It also recently took a hard stand against fake news sites. Just last year it took down 1.7 billion ads that violated its advertising policies and this was more than double the amount of bad ads it took down in 2015.
It also recently revealed that information on a user’s activity will now be fed to YouTube to allow for more relevant ads. In addition, Google is also creating new ways for advertisers to use their customer data to reach their highest-value customers on YouTube using Customer Match.
