Golin Hong Kong has launched a new leadership training initiative, asking the company's young talents to coach seniors.Named The Upturnship, the initiative was devised in Hong Kong; also the first office to launch the programme globally. The four-month programme is a trial to see how and what the leadership team can learn from Golin Hong Kong’s brightest youth. They will learn how to further understand communication methods, social behaviours and values of a younger generation.Mentor sessions will take place once to twice a month. It's expected to be held outside the office to truly gain an actual experience of the mentor’s life. Each pair will agree on goals and objectives and a graduation ceremony will take place in December, if the mentor deems the mentee successful."The majority of our workforce is under 30 years of age. This reverse mentor and training programme aims to ensure we do not lose sight of a very important audience -not only our core people but also the next generation of corporate leaders and consumers. It encourages understanding and learning from the bottom up," said Jane Morgan, managing director.
