GfK bolsters APAC team

Research company GfK has made several regional appointments to strengthen its APAC team.

While Ashok Sethi has been appointed as regional development director for APAC, Nehal Medh has taken on the role of managing director of GfK consumer experiences, Singapore.

Both Sethi (pictured) and Medh will be overseeing marketing for the company in the region and report to the APAC COO of consumer experiences, Debi Basu.

Sethi will be based in Shanghai and Medh in Singapore.

Sethi will spearhead GfK’s efforts to enhance its relationship with clients through product and analytical services and development and deployment of marketing science expertise. Prior to this, he was the head of consumer insights, Rapid Growth and Emerging Markets, at TNS. He also held the role of MD at TNS China in the past.

Medh will be tasked with leading new business development amongst existing clients and developing new business opportunities.

He will be responsible for the overall quality and profitability of the services provided by GfK in Singapore. Medh has had 26 years of agency and client-side experience in Singapore and India.

He has worked with Forbes, Nielsen and Ipsos in the past.

Regionally, other appointments include Selinna Chin who has been appointed as GM of the GfK consumer choices office in Malaysia, Eliza Wong as MD Hong Kong & Taiwan and head of operations for Greater China and Alfred Zhou as GM, GfK Consumer Choices China.

In Japan , Yoshi Fujibayashi has been appointed as MD of GfK consumer choices Japan, while Kyungeun Chang has been named as MD of consumer experiences, Korea.
