Leisure and hospitality conglomerate Genting Malaysia is in the midst of finalising both of its media and creative pitches. The two accounts will cover regional markets which it intends to further penetrate such as Singapore, Indonesia, India, China as well as the Middle Eastern countries.
The incumbent for the media account is OMD, with the review been ongoing for the past seven months. Meanwhile, Grey and M&C Saatchi are the incumbent for the creative account, in which the pitch started about three months ago.
A+M understands that both pitches are expected to be finalised in the fourth quarter of this year. Genting declined to comment on how much each account is worth and agencies involved.
Genting, which has businesses on theme parks, gaming, hotels, seaside resorts and entertainment for over 50 years- says that the new two accounts are part of its rebranding exercise, as it will re-market its properties in those countries from 2017 to 2019.
