Funan sticks with Carbon for social media execution

Funan (under the CapitaLand Mall) has re-appointed Carbon Interactive as its social media agency for a year.  Slated to reopen in 2019, Funan 2.0 promises to be Singapore’s “Creative Intersection” with six “passion clusters”: Play, Fit, Chic, Craft, Taste and Tech.

Carbon will continue to provide social media strategy and management, content planning, event coverage, influencer marketing and creative services to Funan in support of its brand reboot and millennial-centric campaigns.

“We share Funan 2.0’s belief” in challenging the status quo and change for the better. This alignment is evident through our brand values and track record. We are delighted with the extension of contract. And we look forward to further engage and grow the Funan community in the crucial months leading to the opening of the mall,” said Jeffrey Lim, general manager of Carbon Interactive.

News of Funan redesigning first emerged in 2015, when  CapitaLand Mall Trust Management said it will be redeveloping Funan Digital Life mall into an integrated development. This new development, it claims, will be an “experiential creative hub.”

According to the group, the space will now be used to engage the community to incubate new ideas and enable shoppers to “enjoy retail in a technology-enabled environment.” Going forward, CMTML hopes to use the space as a collaborative platform to connect retail, cultural, learning and business opportunities, and play a big part in the rejuvenation of the Civic District
