Dentsu Aegis Network has named Wan Gyn Ang (pictured) CEO of Carat China. Based in Shanghai, Ang will report directly to Susana Tsui, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network China. She was previously the managing director of PHD Singapore, a role which she helmed since 2014, and has over 20 years experience in media across China, Singapore and Taiwan. As CEO, Ang will be responsible for delivering data-driven communication strategies and transformative work across Carat's operations in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. Dentsu said in a press statement that Ang has strong track record of success and driving growth, working with leading global accounts including Unilever, Sony, HSBC, Volkswagen and Ferrero. During her time at PHD, Ang was in charge of leading the agency, building a global strategic planning unit as well as enhancing service offerings both locally and regionally. Prior to that, Ang was partner at M2M Singapore, a full service media network under Omnicom Media Group. "My decision to join Dentsu Aegis Network was driven by their integrated model and their investment in the next generation of marketing services solutions.  The energy and pace of China means we are in a unique position to help our clients redefine the way that consumer experiences build brands," Ang said. Susana Tsui, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network, added: “I know Ang is an energetic, transformative leader and brings a wealth of experience in building media and digital services and a deep passion for innovation and product development. I look forward to working with her as we build new products and services to meet the needs of China’s fast evolving media landscape.
