Former H+K execs Chip Keng Ng and Ikram Zainy rejoin in senior roles

Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) has appointed Chip Keng Ng (pictured left) as executive vice president and Ikram Zainy (pictured right) as director. Both Ng and Zainy were previously with H+K back in 2011.

Prior to rejoining H+K, he was a managing director with Octave Communications. According to his LinkedIn, Ng was also managing director with RHT Communications & Investor Relations between 2015 to 2018. In 2011, he helmed the role of deputy managing director of H+K in Singapore, as well as the regional director of corporate and financial practice in Southeast Asia. Ng brings with him more than 25 years of experience as an in-house and agency communications professional, ranging from investor relations, public affairs, issues/crisis management and media relations among others.

Ng said that creativity and open innovation are at the core of H+K’s approach to client work, and that he looks forward to advising, guiding and supporting H+K Singapore’s local and international clients.

Meanwhile, Zainy was most recently marketing communication director at The Westin Singapore, where he was responsible for driving the hotel’s awareness among multiple target audiences through traditional and online advertising and PR. He was also with Mandarin Orchard Singapore as a marketing communications manager in 2015. Some of his prior stints with agencies include Ogilvy PR, The National University of Singapore Society, Vibes Communications and Blue Inc Media.

He brings more than 12 years of in-house and agency communications experience across a broad range of industries. Zainy also has expertise across consumer, public affairs, issues/crisis management, hospitality, aviation, and government relations. According to Zainy, his recent in-house experience as marketing communications director enables him to take a fully client centric approach to challenges, building the team and delivering the work.

HS Chung, H+K Asia lead, said, “Ng and Zainy are fantastic additions to our fast-growing network in Singapore. Their respective expertise and experience is invaluable to our clients and in leading our growth strategy. I’m thrilled they’ve both returned to H+K.”
