OMD Indonesia has appointed Annkur Pandey as the its new general manager. Pandey joins the Omnicom Media Group agency from Havas where he served as head of digital, and carries over 15 years of digital marketing experience.

Pandey (pictured) will be replacing former GM Rahul Divay who has left the agency. Confirming the news to Marketing Interactive, Divay said he will be switching his career tracks and getting out of his comfort zone. Divay first joined OMD Indonesia in October 2017 as a digital director and was elevated to take on the GM role a year later. He has worked across the likes of GroupM, Mindshare, Isobar and Webchutney for the past 13 years.

In his new role as GM, Pandey aims to work with the teams and clients on sparking new forms of radical collaboration, one of OMD’s core values, in order to uncover innovative and impactful solutions for the brands. “I am excited to be joining such a dynamic and future-facing network. OMD is renowned the world over for the creativity and calibre of its work. However, I was particularly impressed by the sheer talent of the agency’s teams and the sophistication of the network’s processes and platforms," he added.

Meanwhile, Rajat Basra, CEO of Omnicom Media Group Indonesia, said with Pandey's extensive experience and expertise in digital marketing, from both the client-side and the agency’s perspective, he is well placed to understand and empathise with the agency's clients on their unique challenges and business objectives. He added that Pandey also posses a solid understanding of the agency’s tech stack and range of solutions to help deliver ‘Better Decisions, Faster’ for their businesses.

"We’re delighted to have Annkur onboard, as we continue our quest to help brands accelerate their digital momentum and drive further innovation in the Indonesian market. I would like to thank Divay for his valuable contributions to our business over the years, and support to our clients and teams. OMD has achieved some incredible milestones under his leadership, and he leaves the business in a great place,” he added.
