Industry veteran Robert Kay (pictured) has rejoined Leo Burnett Malaysia as group director/business director, overseeing the Maxis account. A spokesperson from Leo Burnett confirmed the appointment to A+M.In a statement to A+M, Kay said he missed the "depth of creative talent" that Leo Burnett can bring to solve client business problems, adding that the changes which have taken place since he left the agency at the end of 2015 "have all been good"."Again, it's a talent thing - the breadth and depth of resource that CEO Tan Kien Eng and Publicis One has at its disposal is pretty awesome. As an agency, Leo Burnett also seems more nimble and agile, which has to be a good thing," Kay told A+M.Previously the managing director of Edelman Malaysia, Kay said he has learnt a lot from that role working with Iain Twine, vice chairman of Edelman for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. As such, Kay believes he will be able to value add a little more than when he was at Leo Burnett previously."My vision [for the team] isn't too complicated. It’s to create and lead teams, and work with clients, to do things that haven’t been done before, or done so well. To try to solve difficult problems basically," Kay added. Before joining Edelman, Kay was with Leo Burnett Malaysia for nearly three years as managing director. He has also worked at TBWA\\RAAD, BABA Consultants, WPP, The Coca-Cola Company and Saatchi & Saatchi.Read also:Publicis One Malaysia hires BBDO creative director Lee Tak ShunePublicis One hands Tan Kien Eng CEO role for MalaysiaLeo Burnett Malaysia amidst massive restructure, COO Michelle Ong exitsLeo Burnett strategy lead Sutapa Bhattacharya heads to Tenaga Nasional
