Former Carbon Interactive GM Jeffrey Lim starts brand consultancy

Former general manager and principal consultant of Carbon Interactive Singapore, Jeffrey Lim (pictured), has launched a brand consultancy called 8traordinary. As founder and managing director, Lim said the consultancy aims to focus on combining design thinking, branding, creatives and digital expertise to help brands be “extraordinary”.

The consultancy markets itself with eight capabilities such as brand development, creative, digital, experiential marketing and activation, integrated campaign, mobile and website, performance marketing as well as consultancy work.

Targeting the markets in Asia Pacific, 8traordinary currently has a team of less than 10 in Singapore, while there are over 22 staffs in the region. Lim said the consultancy is in the midst of expanding and growing its expertise. According to Lim, the consultancy has already bagged clients such as Millenia Walk (a property of the Pontiac Land Group), Toshiba, SkinSoul and Kobe.

“The most 8traordinary things happen when we are not bound by any notion of constraint or limitation,” Lim said about his new venture. He left Carbon Interactive last month, after six years and three months with the company. Prior to his stint at Carbon, Lim was with Innoform Media as a senior manager – eCommerce APAC. His previous roles in companies have been towards marketing and business developments.
