Lorraine Capel (pictured), former CEO of Carat Malaysia, has joined Publicis Media as the head of client investment. Publicis has confirmed the news to A+M adding that she reports to Andrew Leong, growth officer, Publicis Media.
Capel left Carat late last year after helming the role of CEO for two years. She was appointed to the role on 1 October 2016, replacing Bala Pomaleh who left to join IPG Mediabrands as CEO. Capel was responsible for operations as Carat’s CEO and drove strategic planning and management for the agency. During her time there, she was instrumental in securing several major wins, including the Heineken Malaysia account under Dentsu Red Star.
Before joining Carat, she was the head of integration at Astro. She also spent 11 years in GroupM Malaysia, with her last being the managing director of Maxus Malaysia, now known as Wavemaker. Before GroupM, she led the Procter & Gamble business at Starcom.
