Former Berjaya marketing director Leonard Lee joins Hilton Malaysia

Former director of sales and marketing at Berjaya Hotels and Resorts, Leonard Lee has joined as the Hilton Worldwide as its national director of sales.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Lee currently leads the Hilton Worldwide Malaysia’s national sales office, consisting of corporate, MICE and leisure teams, in surpassing revenue goals and increasing market share. Since the new appointment, he has been involved in the pre-opening sales support for Hilton Kota Kinabalu hotel, according to his LinkedIn.

Lee reports to Jamie Mead, regional general manager for Malaysia and Robert Wagner, regional director of sales for Southeast Asia at Hilton Worldwide who resides in Singapore. He brings in more than 15 years of destination marketing, business management, as well as hospitality sales and marketing experience.

“I am delighted to take on my role with Hilton Worldwide.  The laser-focus on performance and goal in become the world’s most hospitable company is one that I personally subscribe to, and I look forward to achieving my next career milestones with the company,” Lee told A+M.

He was engaged with Berjaya group for more than a year since June 2015. Prior to Berjaya, Lee was director of leisure sales at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Malaysia from September 2012 to April 2015 based out of Kuala Lumpur.
