Foodpanda partners with social communications app WeChat

Online food delivery marketplace Foodpanda is launching a partnership with social communications app WeChat across Southeast Asia.With this, WeChat users will be able to browse restaurants nearby, receive exclusive promotional offers and order food without exiting the app at all. In addition, Foodpanda will offer exclusive weekly deals specifically for WeChat.This collaboration will allow for paying cash on delivery or via various integrated online payment options. Users of WeChat in seven SEA countries will benefit from this partnership. These countries are Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines and India.Chinmay Malaviya, co-founder and managing director of both Foodpanda Singapore and Hong Kong, said:  “Our partnership with WeChat across Southeast Asia marks another milestone for Foodpanda. We cannot ignore the immense growth of WeChat in these markets and strive to make ordering food as streamlined as possible for our customers.
