Food delivery service foodpanda has partnered American international pizza chain Papa John’s and rotisserie chain RasaMas, effective 29 July and 1 August respectively.
The partnership with Papa John’s also marks the opening of Food Panda in two major cities in Ipoh and Malacca.
foodpanda’s mobile and web platform will bring in more orders to Papa John’s and RasaMas with its intuitive and easy-to-use interface.
It targets people who are busy, offering the convenience of purchasing through smartphone or web.
Sidney Ng, marketing director, foodpanda Malaysia, told A+M, “We chose Ipoh and Malacca as we find that people there are web-savvy and it complements our strategy to expand and also customise the variety of food.”
Since its official launch, it has seen an increase of 20% sales.
The partnership is promoted via banner ads, voucher distribution at events and Rasa Mas booklets giveaway to residence and offices.
Having just signed up Chatime, foodpanda aims to collaborate with more household name vendors and top restaurant chains in the Klang Valley. It is currently in talks with some brands under the QSR Group.
foodpanda is available via its website, iOS and Android application.
