Food delivery company foodpanda Singapore has expanded its services to include groceries, flowers and household essentials. The company is currently in partnership with over 1,000 retailers nationwide to allow customers to order convenience products, groceries, beauty and baby care products delivered to their doorsteps.

Some of these retailers include convenience store Hao Mart, Caltex Starmart, Eu Yang Sang, florist LilasBlooms and Toki, as well as Mothercare. This is in additional to current partners TigerNow, Wine Connection and The B.I.G Wine Company, which will be accepting orders after 10.30pm.

This comes shortly after foodpanda unveiled its plan to hire up to talents across product and engineering teams in Singapore to optimise its back end technology. The company also established Singapore as the region?s headquarters to ensure proximity to the markets it serves.?The company looks to position Singapore at the heart of?technological innovation and product development tailored for the region.

Luc Andreani, managing director of foodpanda Singapore said over the past year, customers' feedback revolved around more convenience in their everyday lives. As such, the company aims to deliver what customers need straight to their doors and save them time.

"We?re already successfully connected our customers with the best, most unique restaurants in their neighbourhoods and have been pushing the boundaries of the industry. This new expansion is a natural extension of our goal to deliver services that bring even more convenience and experiences to Singaporeans? everyday lives," he added.

Commemorating its seventh year of operations in Singapore, foodpanda has created new opportunities for consumers. From launching a dine-in restaurant in the country to introducing??Pick-Up?, the company has also established a network to aid and support riders in their day-to-day operations. To take it up a notch, in lieu of the nation?s 54th birthday, foodpanda unveiled?a challenge?to answer an age-old question: ?What is Singapore?s national dish????The food delivery company revealed the winning dish gathered through real-time data of food orders.
