FMFA announces sponsors

The Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA), set to take place on 15 and 16 March in Sepang International Circuit, has announced its sponsors, comprising Celcom XPax, Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCeb), AirAsia, AirAsiaGo, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, MTV (official music channel) and E! Entertainment TV (official entertainment channel).

MyCEB is the overall supporter of the FMFA 2013 as a part of its initiative to kickstart the promotional campaign of Visit Malaysia Year 2014. The festival, which drew over 7,000 fans from neighbouring countries and as far as Australia and Europe, is expected to attract more than 10,000 tourists this year.

“Last year, we managed to attract around 117,000 total spectators via various events held in the country and with our support of FMFA, we hope to attract even more this year,” Zulkefli Hj. Sharif, chief executive officer of MyCeb said.

Celcom XPax will be presenting FMFA’s Armin Van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance: 600, The Expedition World Tour’. Xpax is also the official telco partner for the festival, offering Celcom postpaid and prepaid customers 20% off all ticket tiers, chances to win special passes, as well as one “money-can’t-buy”, all-expenses-paid trip for two worth RM100,000 to catch A State of Trance in Holland.

AirAsia is the co-presenter and official airline, while AirAsiaGo is the ‘official online travel partners of FMFA 2013. As part of the partnership, all Future Music Festival Asia 2013 ticket holders will be entitled to a 10% discount when purchasing their flights and hotels via the AirAsiaGo website.

Meanwhile, for the hospitality segment, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa is the official hotel. Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa and Pyramid Tower Hotel will be home to the FMFA 2013 acts, crew and foreign media for duration of the weekend of the festival.

Future Music Festival Asia 2013 is also supported by Asahi ‘Super Dry’, who will also be organising a host of FMFA 2013 pre-parties set to take place in various key market centres within the country.

MTV will also be premiering an FMFA 2013 MTV Club Special on April 5.
