In a move to shake up the Hong Kong real estate ad market, Guru Online has created an augmented reality app on mobile for a new property in Tseung Kwan O Southern District Twin Peaks.
With the use of augmented reality, this 3D virtual reality app allows users to view the floor plans of the new property on smartphones. Users can also redeem free coffee vouchers from all Pacific Coffee outlets in Hong Kong by completing several registration steps on the app.
Mercer Ng, mobile business strategist of Guru Online, claimed this was the first-ever application in Hong Kong’s real estate market to embrace augmented and virtual reality technology.
“Giving coffee voucher to property agents is a common promotion practice while it is a never before experience via mobile application. Apart from the reduction of using print coupon, it enables the 2nd round coffee-giving promotion to specific agents categorised by the data collection from registration, which enhances the re-engagement and even activation level of users.”
“The new app will be able to give out more coupons to a specified user group classified in accordance with the app’s registration information in order to enhance re-engagement in the app.”
