Heineken was named the “Marketer of the Year” for this year’s Marketing Excellence Awards 2018 Singapore. Clinching 3 Gold, 5 Silver and 1 Bronze accolades, Heineken came in first for Excellence in Brand Awareness, Excellence in Brand Strategy and Excellence in Consumer Insights/Market Research.
The brand’s two campaigns “Heineken F1 – More Than A Race” and “All I Want For Christmas Is Heineken” grabbed the judges’ attention and was a testament to their strong consumer marketing strategy.
Coming in a close second was United Overseas Bank (UOB) with 1 Gold, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze trophies for these categories: Excellence in B2B Marketing, Excellence in Content Marketing/Native Advertising/Branded Content, Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility, Excellence in Integrated Marketing (B2B), Excellence in Launch Marketing and Excellence in Mobile Marketing. Several campaigns made it to the list for our runner up, but one stood out the most. The “UOB PayNow For A Cause” campaign struck a chord with the judges and it was deemed a great initiative by UOB to give back to the community.
Other companies which were in the shortlist include Central Narcotics Bureau, DBS Bank, Manulife, Unilever and Samsung Electronics.
Judged only by esteemed industry leaders and updated each year with new categories that cater to the modern marketers, Marketing‘s Marketing Excellence Awards has become a platform for brands to showcase marketing excellence in their marketing campaigns, in Singapore. This year, the awards were judged by 23 senior marketers from leading brands including Abbott, Electrolux, HSBC, Johnson & Johnson, Manulife, Red Bull and many more.
This year’s Marketing Excellence Awards 2018 marks the highest number of participation with over 630 entries received and a total of 103 trophies awarded to the winners.
