Marketing magazine’s Agency of the Year awards which happened on 16th May at Shangri-La Hotel Singapore saw the top agencies in Singapore compete intensely for various titles in nineteen categories, including new categories such as Experiential Marketing Agency of the Year, Full Service Agency of the Year and Independent Agency of the Year.
With 34 senior client-side marketers as the jury of this year’s two-stage judging process, the panel was pleased with the high calibre brought by the various entries. Eventually, it was TBWA\Group Singapore that was crowned Overall Agency of the Year after winning six Gold awards out of the seven categories shortlisted.

Happy Marketer came close in their fight for the top, finishing second and received the first-ever Overall Local Hero of the Year in addition to clinching the Local Hero title in seven categories and multiple top three awards in various categories.
Edelman returned to the winning ranks after grabbing silver this year for PR Agency of the Year. This is the agency’s first win since winning Gold for the same category in 2014. It’s silver win this year is highly expected to reinvigorate the team to earn more accolades in the years to come.
A surprise highlight of the evening was Kadence’s Gold win for the Market Research category, which broke the dominance held by Nielsen in the last few years. The win came after the agency put in additional investment to keep up with new ways of measurement, which ultimately aided in winning over the trust of clients.
MOI demonstrated that hard work matched with a creative vision will reap the most benefits after winning Gold for B2B Agency of the Year – a measured improvement from the Silver in 2018 and Bronze a year before in the same categories. The agency grabbed additional attention after winning Gold for Independent Agency of the Year – a new category introduced at the awards this year.
