Biggest winners of Marketing’s first-ever Agency of the Year Indonesia 2019 awards

H:Three has taken home top honours at Marketing Interactive‘s first-ever Agency of the Year Awards by clinching the “Overall Agency of the Year” title. The agency’s team members stood proud after winning in all three categories it made the shortlist for, bagging gold in the “Event Marketing” and “Experiential Marketing” categories, and bronze in the “Integrated Marketing Agency of the Year” category.

The team was lauded by judges for showcasing “impressive new business records and the understanding of the power of people” in its entries, having produced excellent creative work that addressed key insights and messages.

“H:Three’s win is a testament to not only its great work over the past year, but also the quality of its people, a strong ethos of excellence in every area, and a willingness to innovate to help take the agency to new heights. We are so happy for H:Three and the network. They truly deserve it,” Rezwana Manjur, regional editor, Marketing Interactive, said.

Coming in close second and also cementing its place as the top performing local agency was Berakar Komunikasi, which brought home the first-ever “Overall Local Hero of the Year” trophy. It won gold in the “Social Media Marketing Agency of the Year” category, silver in the “Content Marketing” and “Specialist Agency of the Year” categories, and local hero trophies for “Content Marketing”, “Integrated Marketing”, “Social Media Marketing” and “Specialist Agency of the Year” categories.

Hakuhodo was named “Overall Network Agency of the Year” after its agencies, H:Digital, H:Three and Lotus:H walked away with gold trophies in “Content Marketing”, “Creative Agency”, “Event Marketing” and “Experiential Marketing Agency of the Year” categories, silver for “Full Service Agency of the Year” category and bronze for “Integrated Marketing Agency of the Year”.

In addition to recognising and rewarding the best advertising and marketing agencies across Indonesia, the Agency of the Year Awards ceremony also presented five agency heads and four rising star trophies. These titles were designed to celebrate the young talents and agency heads behind the great campaigns we see across the country.

• Creative Agency Head of the Year: Saumyajit Banerjee, TCP-TBWA\Group
• Independent Agency Head of the Year: Meutia Adryana, Leverate Media Asia
• Media Agency Head of the Year: Rajat Basra, OmnicomMediaGroup
• PR Agency Head of the Year: Francisca Adinda, PRecious Communications
• Social / Digital Agency Head of the Year: Marianne Admardatine, Wunderman Thompson Indonesia

Rising Star of the Year:
• Rising Star of the Year (Creative Agency): Khansa Nadhira, Grey
• Rising Star of the Year (Independent Agency): Rafi Dwitama and Wairis Sholeh, Berakar Komunikasi
• Rising Star of the Year (PR Agency): Meriell Jade Eugenia Tendean, PRecious Communications
• Rising Star of the Year (Social / Digital Agency): Wisnu Satya Putra, Isobar Indonesia

This year saw 29 senior client marketers hailing from industry-leading brands join the independent judging panel to read, review and score every single entry. Judges’ brands included Danone, GDP Venture, HM Sampoerna, Indofood, Johnson & Johnson Indonesia, L’Oréal Indonesia, Mayora Group, Mulia Industrindo, Nestlé, PermataBank, Procter & Gamble, JD.ID, Samsung Electronics Indonesia, Tokopedia, and Traveloka.

The inaugural Agency of the Year Awards were held on 24 October at InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah hotel. Marketing Interactive is proud to have partnered with Blibli.com as our event partner and we thank them for their support of this new event.
