Epson Singapore picks LEWIS for PR and social duties

Epson Singapore has appointed LEWIS, the global PR, social and marketing communications agency, to manage its public relations and social communications services. The appointment covers Epson’s portfolio of B2B and B2C printers, projectors and scanners and is for the Singapore market.The agency first called for the pitch in March this year, Marketing understands. This was part of an annual agency review process for the company and the incumbent on the account was Asia PR Werkz.“Following a highly competitive pitch process, we chose LEWIS based on its understanding of our business needs for the Singapore market, as well as its proven track record of delivering integrated communication campaigns that address the needs of our stakeholders,” Tan May Lin, general manager sales, marketing and customer service division, Epson Singapore said.Miek Gielkens, managing director of LEWIS Singapore, added, “We are delighted to partner with Epson Singapore. LEWIS is well positioned to support Epson with our range of integrated PR, digital and marketing services to raise the brand’s profile and set it up for the next phase of growth.”Headquartered in Japan, Epson is focused on creating products such as inkjet, visual communications, wearables and robotics. In recent times, the electronics company has been upping its game in the market. Earlier this year it partnered with SO Sofitel Singapore for an augmented reality experience within a hotel. This was done through Epson’s Moverio BT-300 smart glasses, and will see users experiencing an augmented reality adventure, called SO Augmented.Meanwhile, it also partnered up with social media agency Happy Marketer,  to create a live event coverage from fashion shows around the world via social media.
