Edipresse Media has made three top-level promotions involving managing director Zita Ong, group editor-in-chief Sean Fitzpatrick, and regional finance director Ida Cheung, effective 1 March.
Ong has been appointed CEO – Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia. Ong, who delivered record-breaking profits for three consecutive years as managing director, will continue to oversee the Hong Kong and Macau business and, in addition, will oversee two more territories, Malaysia and Singapore.
She will also spearhead the custom publishing, digital and the newly created events divisions across Asia. Lamunière will personally oversee China and Taiwan, the Philippine joint venture and the licensees.
Regional finance director Ida Cheung has been promoted to chief financial officer, Asia. Cheung will manage all financial matters including statutory reporting, internal control and forecasting.
In addition, she will also oversee Asia’s HR, Legal and IT departments.
The third of the appointments sees group editor-in-chief Sean Fitzpatrick taking on the newly created role of chief creative officer.
Fitzpatrick will focus on developing the Tatler brand across Asia, driving ideas-generation processes and building project teams for new business lines.
Edipresse Media Asia’s executive chairman Michel Lamunière said he was confident that under Zita’s leadership, with strong support from Ida and Sean, Edipresse will reach its goal of becoming a leading media company in Asia.
