EDB calls integrated marketing pitch

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) is looking for agency partners to promote Singapore as an attractive business location and to advance its domestic marketing efforts.There are two tenders issued - one for the international markets such as North America, Germany and Japan; and one for the domestic market in Singapore.According to the tender documents on Gebiz, participating agencies should be able to fulfil an integrated through-the-line scope, comprising creative, PR, digital, media, social and events. This could be through a one-stop-shop or agencies could form a partnership to participate. The scope will be driven on a markets level and local presence in the key markets is crucial.Selected agencies will be appointed with effect from 1 April 2016 for a period of three years with the option to extend for another two.Currently, The Secret Little Agency (TSLA), TBWA and MEC as its creative, digital and media agencies respectively. The agencies were first appointed in 2012. EDB currently works with different PR agencies in different markets.“We are looking for long-term marketing partners with strong B-to-B expertise, and the ability to harness local market insights to drive our business outcomes,” said Myrna Poon, EDB’s executive director of marketing & communications said.Meanwhile, global marketing consultancy R3 Worldwide was appointed by EDB to manage the tender process earlier in August this year.The appointment is for a period of four years with the option to extend for another two.
