DigitasLBi China has appointed Damien Tew as new managing director and Cecil Chua as general manager, to help drive business growth in mainland China.
Both will be based in the Shanghai office, where Tew will be responsible for driving global business and talent growth across their China offices (Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Chengdu), while Chua will focus on leading key client portfolios and new business development.
Tew was previously based at DigitasLBi Hong Kong, where he successfully managed business development across APAC.
Tew will be leading some of DigitasLBi’s largest Chinese clients on their journey of digital transformation – helping them to identify and leverage opportunities in creative, data and technology. Damien will report into Roy Capon, CEO for APAC.
Roy Capon, CEO of APAC at DigitasLBi, said: ‘We’re delighted to have Damien lead the business in China. His exceptional talent has already proven crucial to delivering growth here in APAC and his previous experience in China will be invaluable for our continued growth.
Chua will lead key client portfolios and new business development, and will report to Tew. Prior to joining DigitasLBi, Chua was business director at Wunderman China, BBDO Beijing and SapientNitro.
Tew commented: “Cecil has a deep understanding of the Chinese consumer and coupled with his wealth of experience in CRM and data and analysis, will help bring fresh perspectives and innovative programmes for our clients in China.”
