Dentsu Utama has appointed three new creative directors to further boosts its team.
Chow Kok Keong, Wong Shu Kor has been named creative directors, and Makoto Sawada from Japan as creative director/digital creative director.
Chow comes to Dentsu from TBWA KL with 20 years of experience. He has since received over 80 internal and regional awards, including the agency of the year title at the 2013 Kancil Awards.
Prior to joining Dentsu creative team expansion, Wong was the creative director for Mega Brands & Solutions, with a range of creative work in telecommunications, finance, airlines, beverage and automotive industries.
Omar Shaari, CEO of Dentsu Utama said that the appointments in the creative department will enable the agency to push the boundaries of conventional thinking.
“The creative directors will each be instrumental in offering clients innovative creative work that are of international standards.”
Makato Sawada’s appointment as creative director/digital creative director will join ideation and technology to add to the agency’s creative offering.
Charmaine Sankar from Draft FCB has also joined Dentsu’s creative team as the head of copy and Loo Kok Seng from TBWA KL will start as senior art director.
