Dentsu Aegis Network China has announced the launch of Amplifi, a data-driven division responsible for media investment, content capability, programmatic buying, and strategic partnerships, including the network’s trading desk Amnet.
“China is at the forefront of innovation in social, mobile, eCommerce and content. To form that matrix integrating investment management, media partnerships, technology and contents allows us to leverage the group’s scale and develop innovative solutions for our clients across all of our agencies,” Phil Teeman, group managing director at Dentsu Aegis Network China.
Tsuyoshi Suganami, CEO at Dentsu Media Greater China, has been appointed president of Amplifi China and will be based in Shanghai, reporting to Teeman.
Lisa Wei, chief investment officer at Dentsu Aegis Network China, has been named deputy president at Amplifi China while Meg Chen will join the team as head of media partnerships. Amnet China will continue be led by Lawrence Wan.
“I am delighted to take on this new role to lead such an integrated platform in China. Facing media convergence, media functionalities of agencies need to evolve beyond media efficiency and rates,”said Tsuyoshi.
