Dentsu Aegis Network has promoted Vikram Bansal to chief data officer Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific. The role will be effective January 2016.
The newly created role, which reports to Arvind Sethumadhavan chief innovation officer for Asia Pacific, will put in place strong leadership to drive the network’s joined up data strategy. Bansal (pcitured) has over 21 years’ experience. Most recently, he served as head of services for Dentsu Aegis Network Singapore and before that as CEO ZenithOptimedia Singapore. As head of services he was instrumental in integrating digital, analytics and media services.
In early 2014, Dentsu Aegis Network announced the launch of two regional centres of excellence (COE) in real-time media analytics and creative technology innovation in Singapore in partnership with the government’s Economic Development Board. Bansal led the analytics COE and according to the agency, in less than 18 months built an “award-winning analytics solution”.

Waters added:“In Sethumadhavan and Bansal we have two top class data experts with decades of agency experience able to apply their brilliance to our clients’ business and brand challenges. The opportunity to innovate through the smart application of data is immense, and that is where we will focus our efforts.”
“Data and analytics is a huge priority for Dentsu Aegis Network, we are committed to delivering solutions which enable our clients to harness and benefit from the potential of big data. I look forward to further driving our data and analytics agenda across the region,” said Vikram Bansal, chief data officer, Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific.
